Fallout 4 Gameplay Revealed at Bethesda's E3 Press Conference

Bethesda show Fallout 4 off at their E3 2015 conference.

There's a reason Bethesda hosted a conference this year, the anticipation surrounding DOOM, Dishonored 2 and Fallout 4 has been there for many gamers for quite some time now, so what better way then to announce everything at E3.

The audience was treated to a trailer, showing off some of the carnage that can ensue in post-apocalyptic Boston. My highlights from this are; the awesome-looking combat, the weapons/power armour, jet-packs and the new, completely bonkers crafting system, which lets you create your own settlement!

Fallout 4 E3 Trailer:

Speaking of the new crafting system, it looks great. You can create your very own wasteland home any way you like, fortify it against raiders using turrets and traps powered by generators, and then invite traders to come and turn it into a base of operations.

Studio Director Todd Howard also mentioned that "player freedom remains our absolute number one goal" as footage played showing Fallout's vast open world. Side quests, one of the game's strong suits, will clearly make a comeback then too, extending the life of the game and adding even more crazy fun.

Also unveiled was the special edition of the game which comes with a wearable Pip-Boy, steel case, and pocket guide which features illustrations and tips. The Pip-Boy replica comes with a RobCo Industries stand, capsule case, adjustable foam cuff, and functioning lights and knobs. You can also use your smartphone inside the gadget, and when used with the mobile app you can actually manage your inventory and perks, just like your in-game vault dweller. This version of the game will however set you back a cool £100/$150/€140, but you get a Pip-Boy.

Fallout 4 is out this fall, on November 10th.
