Wolfenstein: The Old Blood Out Now

Wolfenstein: The Old Blood is a standalone prequel to last year's first-person shooter Wolfenstein: The New Order.

Return to Castle Wolfenstein
The action-adventure first-person shooter returns with a prequel to last year's critically acclaimed game with more of the same intense fights, near impossible odds and engrossing gameplay and setting.
Wolfenstein: The New Order opened in 1946 with B.J. Blazkowicz infiltrating General Deathshead's compound; The Old Blood is set right before that mission and explains how our long-term hero got to where he is now. The Old Blood is split into two acts; Rudi Jäger and the Den of Wolves and The Dark Secrets of Helga Von Schabbs.
MachineGames clearly knows what they are doing with the franchise deciding not to release DLC for their game, instead releasing a completely separate experience. The narrative is designed to both flesh out The New Order's back story and provide a welcoming entry point for first-time players. "There was more story left to tell" explained the developers, and this transition will be seamless for players, allowing for either The Old Blood or The New Order to be played first.
The game features new secrets, villains and weapons, worthy of the series and has the same story-driven gameplay of its predecessor. The general gist? You kill Nazis, a lot of Nazis, using whatever Blazkowicz may have on him at the time.

If you're a fan of the series then I would highly recommend this, as it's a good expansion of a great game and does The New Order justice.
