The Division Delayed Until 2016

Tom Clancy's The Division has received yet another delay and will now be pushed back until early 2016.

This could be due to a number of reasons. The game could simply be nowhere near finished with developers Ubisoft frantically working to finish whats left of The Division; not entirely a bad thing though as rushed games include bugs and unfinished stories. Or it could be that with the Fall release of another Tom Clancy game; Rainbow Six Siege they decided that it would be best to pace out the games.

There are plenty of games from now until then which softens the initial blow, and more time to work on a game usually means a better end product, although we will have to wait and see when The Division comes out. Another recent Ubisoft game did this - Watchdogs - and it was heavily criticised due to lacking graphics and an underwhelming plot, so caution needs to be exercised when building the game up.

The Division is set to be a third-person role-playing shooter in which the player takes control of an independent Division agent who is activated tasked with helping to stop the spread of a man-made disease.

"A devastating pandemic sweeps through New York City, and one by one, basic services fail. In only days, without food or water, society collapses into chaos. The Division, a classified unit of self-supported tactical agents, is activated." - Tom Clancy's The Division
There is sure to be more on The Division at this year's E3, so stay tuned for more information.

  2. It's definitely in shady territory, I haven't seen enough to be convinced and the hype seems to have died.
